Chief Operating Officer
As COO, Jeff brings over 12 years of experience both operating and investing in high growth companies. Previously, Jeff was a Principal at Brook Venture Partners where he was responsible for all aspects of the private equity investment process including deal sourcing, due diligence, structuring, and syndicating. Jeff was then active in post-investment oversight as a Director or Board Observer at 13 portfolio companies. He has led several mergers and acquisitions at the portfolio company level and has also served as interim CFO for several portfolio companies.
Prior to Brook, and pre-Graduate School, Jeff was a founding team member at Tenor Networks, Inc. a designer and manufacturer of high end optical networking equipment. During his 4.5 years at Tenor, Jeff assisted in raising $120M in Venture Capital and Private Equity, along with $2M of non-dilutive debt financing. Jeff also built and scaled the finance and operations of the company (ultimately hiring his own supervisor), as Tenor grew from 15 to 170 employees in under 2 years. Prior to that, he was an Operations Analyst at 3Com Corp., where he focused on resource planning and analysis for next generation switching products.
Jeff received his MBA with Distinction from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College and his BBA from the University of Massachusetts where he graduated first in the School of Finance and Operations Management.
He has served for 6 years as a guest lecturer with the UMass Amherst MBA program, specializing in investing in and growing companies.
He and his wife and 3 children live in Boxford, MA.
